Ladle pourer wanted in Comal County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Comal County, Texas. Your main tasks: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
