Lathe programmer-operator — Multnomah County

Join our team: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Multnomah County, Oregon. You will be based in a job-work machining unit. Requirements: • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges On the job you will handle: • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Run first-off inspection and sign off the part • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet Six days a week, one day off.
