On a typical shift you will cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes; work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals; carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil; rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank; grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily; spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction. You should have: • Willing to work on remote sites and rotating rosters • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
