Gantry crane operator — Berkeley County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Berkeley County, West Virginia. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. You should have: • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination On the job you will handle: • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
