Vacancy available: we are hiring a gardener in Barrow County, Georgia. You will work in a botanical garden. Day-to-day duties: • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers You should have: • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers Full-time, day shift.
