Urgent requirement: we are hiring a butcher in Kankakee County, Illinois. You will work at a halal meat counter. You will monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings. You should have: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter Full-time, day shift.
