Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sausage maker in Culpeper County, Virginia. You will be based in a supermarket meat department. The role involves: • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings Ideal candidate: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler Pay around $4,200 per month, based on your experience.
