Hoist operator wanted in Halifax County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a hoist operator in Halifax County, Virginia. The role involves: • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
