Hoist operator — Ngor-Okpala

Immediate opening: we are hiring a hoist operator in Ngor-Okpala, Imo State. The job is at a shipbuilding yard. Day-to-day duties: • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) You should have: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Understanding of hand and radio signals • A good head for heights for tower crane work At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
