Core maker • Odo Otin, Osun State

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Odo Otin, Osun State. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. On a typical shift you will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch. You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
