Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fettler in Maigatari, Jigawa State. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Basic grinding and fettling skills Day-to-day duties: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles Rotating shifts.
