Great opportunity: steel erection rigger (Illinois)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in DeWitt County, Illinois. You will attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings. Requirements: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
