We are recruiting: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Bassa, Plateau State. The job is in an open-cast quarry. Ideal candidate: • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site On a typical shift you will backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers; track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport; clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble; dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds; excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs; carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. ₦1,250 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
