The role involves park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams.
