Great opportunity: we are hiring a plant operator (dozer) in Winnebago County, Illinois. The job is at a civil contractor's yard. Requirements: • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems The role involves grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms; rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank; cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes; operate crawler dozers to push and spread fill across the site; push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
