Immediate opening: we are hiring a metal caster in Dukku, Gombe State. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry On the job you will handle: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
