Vacancy available: we are hiring a crane operator in Falkirk, Scotland. The job is at a precast concrete yard. Ideal candidate: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Understanding of hand and radio signals On a typical shift you will help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Meals and transport allowance provided. £2,450 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Share your details and we will call you back.
