Immediate opening: commis chef (Illinois)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a commis chef in Saline County, Illinois. The job is in a hospital or office canteen. You will chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat; cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations; prepare the mise en place before each service; taste and adjust seasoning for consistency. You should have: • Good teamwork and clear communication under pressure • Food hygiene / FoSTaC certificate $240 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
