Urgent requirement: machine operator (earthworks) (Kentucky)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Grant County, Kentucky. You will be based in an open-cast quarry. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat Your main tasks: • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels • Swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs • Track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
