Pipe tig welder wanted in Devon

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Devon, England. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. The role involves select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions. Requirements: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Overtime paid at a premium rate.
