Immediate opening: we are hiring a backhoe operator in Macoupin County, Illinois. The job is on a housing development site. Your main tasks: • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble • Dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs Ideal candidate: • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Valid CPCS/NPORS card or local heavy-equipment licence • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing 5+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $3,100 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Share your details and we will call you back.
