Immediate opening: we are hiring a digger driver in Sumaila, Kano State. Day-to-day duties: • Work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance • Dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient Ideal candidate: • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
