Immediate opening: head baker (Alabama)

Join our team: we are hiring a head baker in Walker County, Alabama. The job is in a bread factory. You should have: • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen The role involves: • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
