Join our team: pastry baker (Illinois)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pastry baker in Will County, Illinois. You will be based at a café with an on-site bakery. What we are looking for: • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks • 2+ years' experience as a baker On the job you will handle: • Grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $7,500 per project, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
