Sheet metal welder — Patrick County

Now hiring: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Patrick County, Virginia. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. The role involves: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $22 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
