Steel erection rigger — Apapa

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Apapa, Lagos State. You will work at a shipyard. Your main tasks: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Confident with standard crane hand signals At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
