Now hiring: CNC milling operator (Rhode Island)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a CNC milling operator in Washington County, Rhode Island. You will work in a die and mould making unit. Ideal candidate: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Able to grind and set HSS cutters On the job you will handle: • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
