We are recruiting: we are hiring a hoist operator in Rotherham, England. You will work at a container port and shipping yard. The role involves: • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity You should have: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Current medical and eyesight certificate At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
