Join our team: we are hiring a gardener in Johnson County, Kansas. You will work in a public park. Ideal candidate: • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance Your main tasks: • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds 2+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $3,000 per month plus benefits. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
