Now hiring: trainee butcher (Kano State)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Ungogo, Kano State. You will mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking. Ideal candidate: • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
