We are recruiting: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in DeWitt County, Illinois. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. The role involves: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder Requirements: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
