Great opportunity: we are hiring a sausage maker in Morrison County, Minnesota. The job is at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling Day to day you will portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
