Trainee butcher • Tom Green County, Texas

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Tom Green County, Texas. You will be based at a wholesale meat market. On a typical shift you will trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; season and marinate meat on request; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
