Press shop operator — Cook County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a press shop operator in Cook County, Minnesota. You will be based on the press shop floor. You should have: • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges The role involves: • Top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Set up and change stamping dies and tooling • Feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings Six days a week, one day off.
