Now hiring: we are hiring a furniture maker in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. You will be based on a residential housebuilding project. Day to day you will hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles; install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together; fix studwork and plasterboard partitions. You should bring good eye for detail and a clean finish; NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent. 2+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts.
