Great opportunity: steel erection rigger (Borno State)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Bama, Borno State. You will work at a shipyard. Day to day you will take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; read lift plans and method statements before starting. Requirements: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
