Horticulturist — Moultrie County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a horticulturist in Moultrie County, Illinois. You will work in a public park. On a typical shift you will weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe; cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs; lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn; repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds. What we are looking for: • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Happy to work outdoors in all weather 5+ years on the tools preferred.
