Great opportunity: we are hiring a track-type tractor operator in Monroe County, New York. The job is at a civil contractor's yard. On a typical shift you will rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank; grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms; follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels; clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin; strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse; grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily. You should have: • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Valid heavy equipment or plant operator licence Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided.
