Turning centre operator • Lorain County, Ohio

Now hiring: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Lorain County, Ohio. You will be based on the CNC turning shop floor. Day to day you will deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances; write and edit G-code programs at the control; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles. You should have: • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection Six days a week, one day off. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
