Join our team: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Andoni, Rivers State. The job is at a container port. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Day to day you will attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use. 3+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. ₦1,050 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Share your details and we will call you back.
