Join our team: we are hiring a head butcher in Thomas County, Nebraska. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • 2+ years experience working as a butcher On a typical shift you will trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders. $23 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
