Foundry worker • Larmurde, Adamawa State

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry worker in Larmurde, Adamawa State. The role involves: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
