Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Oru West, Imo State. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) You will building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
