Vacancy available: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Sumter County, Alabama. The job is at a shopfitting company. What we are looking for: • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height Day-to-day duties: • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish Pay around $3,000 per month, based on your experience.
