Rough terrain crane operator — Ohafia

Vacancy available: we are hiring a rough terrain crane operator in Ohafia, Abia State. You will be based at a container port and shipping yard. Ideal candidate: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts Day-to-day duties: • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
