Hoist operator — Henry County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a hoist operator in Henry County, Illinois. You will work in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. On a typical shift you will fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground. Ideal candidate: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Understanding of hand and radio signals Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
