Now hiring: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Letcher County, Kentucky. You will be based at a café with an on-site bakery. Ideal candidate: • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • Food handler / hygiene certificate • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens The role involves: • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Score the top of loaves before baking • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Pay around $4,900 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
