D6/D8 dozer operator • Knox County, Illinois

Vacancy available: we are hiring a D6/D8 dozer operator in Knox County, Illinois. The job is on a road construction project. The role involves cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes; spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction; maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear; form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle; clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin; rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank. You should have: • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Knowledge of daily greasing and pre-start inspections 3+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. We offer $21 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
