Immediate opening: we are hiring a head baker in Morgan County, Illinois. You will work at a café with an on-site bakery. You should have: • Basic cake decorating and piping skills • Able to work early-morning and night shifts • Food handler / hygiene certificate Day to day you will laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter; rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials; roll out short-crust and biscuit dough; boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing; score the top of loaves before baking; monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch. At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
