Immediate opening: we are hiring a cnc lathe setter in Kankakee County, Illinois. You will be based in a precision engineering workshop. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T The role involves: • Set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54) • Run first-off inspection and sign off the part • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets • Deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
